Firozabad District
Firozabad district is located in the western part of the state of Uttar Pradesh with headquarters at Firozabad city. The boundaries of the district touch Etah district in the North and Mainpuri and Etawah in the East. The river Yamuna makes its Southern boundary. The district forms a part of Agra division.
The
city of Firozabad was built by Firoz Shah, a Mughal king. The ancient
name of this town was Chandwar Nager. From the earliest it was famous
for glass and bangle works, and its related small scale industries.
