Mainpuri District
Mainpuri is a District of Uttar Pradesh in northern India. The district is bounded by Etah District on the north, District Farrukkhabad and Kannauj on the East, District Etawah on the South and District Firozabad on the West. It forms a part of Agra division. Mainpuri town is the administrative seat.
Agriculture is the main occupation of the people of this district.
Recently, Mainpuri has achieved the distinction of producing a kind of
tobacco which is known as Kapoori. Apart from that there is few small
scale industries located in the urban areas.

How to Reach
By Rail : The main line of the Northern Railway passes through the district. It runs about 23 miles through the south-west of the district with stations at Makhanpur, Shikohabad, Kaurara (for Sirsaganj) and Bhadan.
By Road : The various tehsils in the district
are connected through metalled roads. Mainpuri, the headquarter town is
well connected to rest parts of the state through state highways.
