Shravasti District

Shravasti is a newly created district, which is carved out from the districts of Gonda and Bahraich. The district shares its border with district Balrampur.

Bhinga is the District headquarters of shravasti. The district is at a distance of around 150km from the state capital Lucknow.

Shravasti, the northeastern town of Uttar Pradesh, is located near river Rapti. This town is closely associated with the life of Lord Buddha.

Moreover, Shravasti is the holy land of all the four Kalyanakas – Chayan, Birth, Diksa and attainment of omniscience of Bhagawan Samabhavanath.
