Faizabad District

Faizabad is an administrative district of Uttar Pradesh with headquarters at Faizabad city. It forms a part of Faizabad division. The headquarters city Faizabad is situated on the banks of river Saryu and is considered as a sister city of Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram. The city of Ayodhya is known for its temples of Hindu religion. There are numerous sites to visit in and around Faizabad.
